“We pray for Peace, Reconciliation and Reunification of Korea”
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." (Matthew 5:9)

We at Voice of Christians Evangelical Church, Ludhiana, India believe in Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace and has been specially praying and uplifting our Korean brothers and sisters in our prayers for peace, reconciliation and reunification on the Korean peninsula on the basis of the word "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you."(John 14:27).

Last week especially while you were in prayers to mark the 60th anniversary of Korean War, we joined with you in our humble prayers in our daily worship and do expect it could be a momentous point which eliminate all distrust and hate and build peace on the Korean peninsula and accomplish permanently reconciliation between the two Koreas and further reunification.

Since last month we are regularly reading news and seeing pictures of confrontation between both Koreas in the Indian newspapers on the issue of sinking of the Cheonan Navy ship near Baekryungdo in the West Sea and lost precious lives of 46 soldiers.

We fervently pray our God be with precious souls of those soldiers and civil people who were sacrificed in the course of rescue, and allow long-lasting peace, and deep comfort especially for the bereaved families.

Secondly, we pray the Grace of our Lord be with you while you are in severely confrontational situation between North and South Korea since the sinking of the Choenan, such national war as in 60 years ago should never be broken. As you are in a very critical point in which even a tiny clash that each side doesn’t intend to could bring it to an all-out war.

Word of God assures us, “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance is of the Lord.” Proverbs 21:31.

Thirdly, in case of expansion of military tension and confrontation through those related countries’ intervention, we all are concerned that its social, political, military and humanitarian loss would effect on all in Northeast Asia and furthermore on worldwide economy which is in recession. There is already huge rise in prices of food, petrol and essential commodities in India.

The Korean War (1950–53) clearly reminds that it was a military conflict between the Republic of Korea, supported by the United Nations, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and People's Republic of China (PRC), with air support from the Soviet Union.

The war which began on June 25, 1950 and an armistice was signed on July 27, 1953. The war was a result of the political division of Korea by agreement of the victorious Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War. A huge number of deaths were recorded during the three-year war.

To conclude my biblical message of peace to mark the 60th Anniversary of Korean War, for your spiritual encouragement, I would like to share the victorious Song of Moses, which he sang with the children of Israel on this side of jungle “Exodus 15:1-19” when they safely crossed over the Red Sea by the might of right hand of their God, but the Egyptian army perished in the midst of Red Sea with the same right hand of their God. Verses 6 and 11 are key verses in this chapter in my healing ministry in India. The verse 6 “Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces, and verse 11”Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

I always read and proclaim above verses by faith, when any person possessed with evil spirits, sickness or with any problem approaches me for prayer. And the right hand of our Lord Jesus Christ in which seven Angels of Seven Churches obey His commandments and the keys of Hades and of Death are in His right hand instantly cast out the demons, heals the sick and deliver the people from their problems immediately. And thence people accept Jesus as their personal Saviour and are baptized by immersion in the water.

Let us prayer: “Heavenly Father through your begotten Son and our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that please stretch out your right mighty hand and wipe out the clouds of war hovering over Korean Peninsula for the last 60 years, and bring permanent peace, reconciliation and reunification of Korea so that Your Mightiest name be glorified for ever. Amen!

Blessings!
